Draw your own conclusions

I found this graphic, courtesy of The Science of Sport website, quite interesting:

For those of you who follow cycling you'll recognize the names of Riis and Pantanti as two riders who either admitted to, or tested positive for, the use of performance enhancing drugs.

Crazy.

You know the allegations are coming. Look at DiLuca 2 months after the race.

I just figure they are all on it. Do people stop watching the NFL cause every linebacker is juiced? But yes its a shame. You have to look at Pro Cycling as entertainment, like wrestling. If you want to look at clean athletics, stick to your local heroes.

the bike is lighter, the climb is different, plus they are likely all on something

I also wonder if it makes a difference when the climb occured during the tour. Is it 1st, 2nd or 3rd week. But I do think Lemond asked some legitimate questions about Contador. People like to call Lemond a wanker, but I think he is bitter over others doping and the effect on his career and Hinault's and Armstrongs mouth over the years. He knows what he is talking about though. The whole VO2 test kinda sparked my interest in testing for doping.

I like Lemond.

I like Lemond too, and they're not "all doing it".

But isn't Gatorade performance enhancing, compared to water??

Yeah not all are on the juice, but I watched the 2004? stage where Beloki went down and teh favorites group was going up that climb way too fast, and lots of them have been popped, so, not all, but a whole lot of the leaders, I don't want it too be true, but doing the math and probabilities, still, it is fun to watch.

Things change a lot in 5 years. Ask Lance.

Lemond is a tool. He seems to forget that he was a genetic freak, and completely dominated when in his prime. He either was legitimately sick, or became a head-case, or both. Look at pictures of him when he started to struggle compared to him as a kid, he got fat. Fabulous athlete, total nut-job.
