I've wanted to ride the Blackhawk Loop in Payson Canyon since I bought my mountain bike 3 years ago. Many thanks to Jesse, his wife Patty and brother Jeff for inviting Cami and me to join them this afternoon. Now that I've finally done it the thought running through my mind is "What took me so long?!"
The trails were awesome: Tight, rustic singletrack running through some of the most scenic country in the region. The views were massive and with the exception of two hunters at the end of the ride we saw nobody on the trails. Rides like this make me question why I ever left Payson!
That's funny you thought my report was short. With 10 pictures I felt it was quite long. A picture is worth a thousand words you know!
Plus, I had no idea where we were or what trail we were on the entire ride. I guess I should have mentioned shredding with the pack of cows but hey, I suppose I've gotten used to having you along. That way you take care of the detailed write-up while I get by posting some sweet pictures and linking to your blog!
Thanks for the visual down memory lane. Sometimes I wonder to myself why I ever left Payson too! I lived there for a couple of years back in the late 90s. Bennie Creek and Blackhawk were my two favorite rides.
It's good to know the trails are still awesome after a decade of riders.

Looks nice. But pretty short report for such a good ride.

More pics, less talk, I like it. Hey, things are slowing down some for me, maybe you can take me on this loop soon.
