Do You Believe in Santa Claus?

These are desperate times in the natural snow department. I supposed it
could be worse. Alta has had 105" of snow so far this year and has a base
depth...

at least someone is gettin lucky
I've seen that a few times! Nice work. I see a minivan in your future, which is not a bad thing. We will know your a real cyclist if its a girl. Ask Bart
You can still keep a semblance of manliness in a minivan by installing a bike rack on the roof.
minivans rule
you can fit all sorts of bike gear in the back of a minivan
and if I were the joking type I'd make a joke of somekind. And since I am the joking type, I'll just say I'm glad to hear your saddle sores weren't too deep.
Dude, don't succumb to the minivan. Even though they are immensely practical, get great fuel economy relative to seating and cargo capacity, and are the easiest vehicles on the planet to get kids and car seats in and out of. Still don't do it.
Congratulations. Lunch tomorrow is on me.
You'll definitely need to do the night ride tomorrow to help you condition for the lack of sleep.
Congratulations! (I think)
I thought you were being a bit cagey when the topic of #3 came up last week - now I know why.
I expect cigars, or perhaps Laura Bars, to be handed out at the night ride.
We resisted a minivan, but were won over by the practicality, better gas mileage, and lower cost. It's been a good vehicle for us. Not sexy, but works great for families. mark: gas guzzler misery loves company? ;-)
I'm no doctor, but I can tell you how that sort of thing happens if you need me to:)
I have no kids and I like mini vans. But get a receiver hitch rack.
congrats
Mark and Cami! Congrats, congrats, congrats!! Bring your prego eggo to Arizona/Disneyland in January, and we will really celebrate! Hooray, Wynston won't be all alone in the cousin department. We couldn't be happier. love you! Erin and Paul
Congratulations! Just one question... Is this in the name of German engineering? http://www.vw.com/routan/en/us/?sem=208415542;
Congratulations!!!
I think my feelings on the minivan topic have been covered already.
Congrats! It was that ride in our minivan Saturday that really turned you on to them huh? Tell Cami to take it easy.
KDAY, that link was awesome. I loves me some Brooke Shields.
Whoa! This is news!
So...was this planned or your kid (like our kid) a one percenter?
...
When #3 was confirmed, I also thought I'd have to succumb to a minivan. So I started asking friends--in particular a family I know with three kids that didn't have a minivan. So I asked them why (they drive a VW Golf)...was it about expense, meaning would they get one if they could afford it? (We're good enough friends that I could get away with that question.)
The answer? She told me three-kid minivan parents are pussies. Yup, she said it.
The issue for them (and me) is just straight up MPG. But since you already own a wholly irresponsible vehicle ;-) then I suppose swapping it for a minivan is a wash. All these folks on here who are saying minivans get good gas mileage have a rather perverted frame of reference.
(Incidentally, the only minivan I consider an acceptable MPG compromise for the three-kid family is the Mazda 5. Plus, zoom, zoom.)
Thanks everybody for your words of support! The pregnancy wasn't planned but having said that it wasn't prevented either. Cami was very regular on birth control and extremely irregular off, which made conception much more difficult this time than it was with our first two kids. It took a number of years and the help of her doctor to get everything on track again.
goat - The reason we need a car that seats more than 5 is because Cami shares carpool duties with another mom in our neighborhood (the kids' new charter school is in Herriman). Next fall once the baby has arrived she'll need seating capacity for 6. Of course we get that in our Explorer but continually putting the middle seat up & down to allow access to the third row in the back is a pain. Having two captains chairs in the middle row will make access much, much easier.
I am so happy for both of you!! congratulations. Why buy a mini van when you can drive a 15 passenger van?
Im late but congrats x 1000
